Today’s tradeswomen have the advantage of access to a variety of online supports and resources. The Resource Training Authority’s site Tradeswomen.ca is well worth checking out. Along with job profiles, news, events, and job search tools, the site has a user-friendly ‘Community Centre’, where women can share ideas, ask questions, and offer each other encouragement and advice.
Another important resource for women in trades is the Industry Training Authority site: itabc.ca where you’ll find newsletters, youth programs, information about apprenticeships and the Women in Trades Training initiative!
Do you know of a great website for women in trades? Send me an email, and I’ll share it in an upcoming blog.
