First ‘Lunch and Learn’ of 2016 a great success!
Posted by on: January 13, 2016
About 24 students attended the first RBC Women in Trades ‘Lunch and Learn’ of 2016. The topic was Pathways to Apprenticeship and was facilitated by ITA Apprenticeship Advisor, Helen Poss. Women from electrical, heavy duty mechanics, plumbing, and the Aboriginal Women in Trades program were all in attendance.
Helen was able to answer an assortment of questions ranging from apprenticeship hours requirements, changing sponsors to funding/grant opportunities and wait list strategies.
Helen is available to answer any of your apprenticeship questions and is here to guide you along as you move towards your Red Seal qualification. She can be contacted at 250-434-2504.
Don’t fret if you’ve missed this one! There will be others either similar in nature as this one, or this exact one again as there is always a revolving door of new students. If you would like to be on an email list so you don’t miss out on any upcoming Lunch and Learns, email Jen Narcisse, RBC Program Coordinator- Women in Trades to be added to the list of contacts at jnarcisse@tru.ca
2016 is already looking to be a great year!
